Alices Bloody Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

This was a very fun read.

I didnt know how I would feel about this book as Alice in Wonderland is sacred to me. But the
authors note at the front reassured me with him saying how important to A.I.W is to him.
He literally takes the original text, the quotes we all know and love and twists them into something dark and bloody.
I really did enjoy this book and I laughed quiet a lot on this trip to wonderland. My only problem was that it wasnt descriptive enough for me. My favourite part was when Alice was falling down the rabbit hole, there was some fantastic scene setting there I could picture the blue static glow from the televisions and the horror movie posters pinned to the walls. I would have loved this level of detail through out the book.

The illustrations defiantly added to the humour of the book and really kept you thinking back to the original Alice. It was so funny to see the words and pictures that you are so very familiar with twisted into something so adult.

A perfect read for any lover of Wonderland.
